Woman’s Club Awards
The Lakeside Woman’s Club ongoing dedication to the motto of “Unity in Diversity,” “Living the Volunteer Spirit”, and helping its community has been appreciated at conventions with awards honoring the services from the clubs.
Throughout the year, Woman’s Clubs all over work effortlessly in their pursuit of community involvement. The clubs have year-end reports that are sent to The General Federation of Woman’s Club (GFWC) and at the state level of California Federation of Woman’s Club (CFWC). Both of these organizations recognize and celebrate the groups with awards for all the hard work from the clubs and members.
We encourage you to become a member and join our group to continue the dedication and involvement in kindness and effort in mutual helpfulness.
The Woman’s Club of Lakeside has been the recipient of many awards over the years. The involement of our members has led to our sucess in winning awards. Currently, at 82 members we are considered a large club.
Some of the categories that are reported each year included in the Community Service Programs are:
Advocates for Children, Arts & Culture, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Communications & Public Relations, Domestic & Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention, Education & Libraries, Environment, Fundraising and Development, Health & Wellness, Leadership, Legislation & Public Policy, Membership and Women’s History.
