Children’s Art Show
The Woman’s Club of Lakeside sponsors its Annual Children’s Art Show in February each year, at the VFW Post, 12650 Lindo Lane, Lakeside, CA 92040.
Children’s Art Show: February 20th and 21st, 2026. Open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, 9:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. Saturday.Â
Entries from local school children are numerous and showcase a lot of talent. The event is held for two days, normally on a Friday and Saturday, which allows for the students to attend via a field trip with their class. Many parents and the community stop by during this time to view the beautiful creations from kids grades kindergarten through 12th grade. The art work is judged and ribbons are awarded. The students are excited to see their works displayed.
The woman’s club members gather the art work from the schools and spend time preparing the items with participation labels for each piece. The works are then pinned to frames which hold the artwork for display. It is very rewarding to all who join in to make the Children’s Art show happen each year. We also have the local middle schools band perform for musical entertainment.

Children’s Art Show 2026
The Children’s Art show is a highlight for our club and the students of Lakeside. Our members work together with the local schools to collect artwork from the children. We display the art pieces and have artists judge the works and award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the entries. All students receive a participation ribbon. Teachers bring their classes to the Lakeside VFW so the kids can walk through the exhibit. It is exciting to see the children marvel at their creative pieces and those of their friends or siblings.
The Woman’s club of Lakeside provides snacks and water for the students to enjoy after their visit to the art show. This year we had over 1,200 pieces of art.
