Meeting information

The Woman’s Club meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at the Lakeside VFW at 11:00 a.m.  Our meetings normally last two hours or less. There are no meetings in July and August as it is summer break for our members.

How can I join the Woman's Club?

We love to welcome new members. You may attend one of our meetings, fill out our membership application(under the membership menu), email us or, contact our membership chair, Liz, for more information. Liz may be reached at 619-920-7089

Anyone is welcome to join our club. You do not need to be a Lakeside resident to become a member.

What does The General Federation of Women's Clubs have to do with this club?

Women’s Clubs throughout the United States, honor the motto of “Unity in Diversity,” set forth by the General Federation (GFWC) and California Federation of Women’s Club, (CFWC).  Each club has access to free programs, project ideas, resources and action plans to be implemented in their own community. GFWC and CFWC also provide assistance for clubs to continue community improvement, volunteering and philanthropy.

What are the main projects of the Woman’s Club?

Some of the projects our Lakeside club supports are listed below. A full list of our projects are explained under the Philanthrophy menu. We are dedicated to community support and volunteering.

  • Meals on Wheels-President project
  • Lakeside Christian Help Center (donations of goods or money)
  • Cancer Research Funding and Support- Team Parker
  • Veterans
  • Children’s Art Show/Run for the Arts
  • Quilt Show Fundraiser
  • Sewing Circle- items donated for just causes

What are the responsibilities of a club member?

Some of the responsibilities of a Club Member include, 

  • Attends meetings regularly.
  • Communicates
  • Encourages others
  • Fulfills the duties of membership
  • Is personally involved
  • Keeps the purposes of the club in mind
  • Prepares for each meeting.
  • Respects other club members.
