Meet our Board

President: Lisa Sharp

I have been a member since 2012.  My husband and I had just moved to the area from northern California to be close to our daughters.  During my time in the club, I have served as Vice President under Liz Harris 2014-2016 and then as President from 2017 – 2019. I was then Vice President under Barbara Meyer from 2018- 2020.  President again in 2021, Vice President 2022 and President 2023-2024. I have been honored to be of service to this wonderful organization The Woman’s Club of Lakeside.

Co-VP: Debbie Miller

My name is Debbie Miller, I have been a member since 2018. I joined the Woman’s club in 2018, and have held positions in the Home Life project and assisting in events of the club, including creating thier website. My current duties are maintaining the website/Facebook page, I am the editor for the Fanmail newsletter and have been Co-VP since 2023. I enjoy this group and their dedication to helping others with the volunteer spirit. With  the activities and projects the club provides, I am always willing to jump in and help where I can. It is so nice and very fulfilling to be a part of organization that serves our community and other charities. I am also a board member of the Lakeside Friends of the Library and volunteer in their bookstore. I am married and we have one son.

Co-VP: Randy O’Connor

In 1948 the navy stationed my family to San Diego. We moved to Casa De Oro after 2 years in Oakland, Ca where I was born. I grew up there until graduating from Monte Vista High School, class of 1964. Graduated from Kelsey-Jenny Business College, attended San Diego Junior College and graduated from University of Phoenix. My son and my 2 grandsons were all born at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa. Our whole family is involved in lots of community activities. During my accounting career, I have worked for businesses, managed businesses and owned businesses. Those experiences brought me in contact with several kinds of networking groups and fundraising organizations. The latest was Business Networking International of which I organized and grew a new chapter, serving 2 years as their President.

I appreciate being given this opportunity to serve on your board.

Secretary: Vicki Wallace

My husband and I are originally from Illinois. We have been in the San Diego area for 40 years as of this month, January 2026. We have 2 children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. In the past, I enjoyed volunteering for the Girl Scouts, Voices for Children, & the kids’ team sports. I recently joined The Woman’s Club & am very excited to start my journey with this wonderful organization!

Treasurer: Barbara Meyer

I have been a member since 2012. My first position was as Membership Chair in early 2013, and held many positions in the club. I’ve been helping out ever since!  Currently, I am the treasurer for the Woman’s club.  I truly enjoy this group and Woman’s Club in general!

Membership: Liz Harris

Hi my name is Liz and I have been a member of the Woman’s Club of Lakeside since 2010. I can’t believe it will be 15 years since I joined next year. I was invited by my friend Patricia Hawkins to come to the Spring Valley’s Woman’s Club and I really enjoyed it. This is why I joined our Lakeside Club.

I have had several positions with our club starting with my current one being Membership Chair. I have also served as Secretary, Vice President and lastly President from 2014-2016. It is really rewarding to hold a position with our club and I recommend that some of you volunteer to take a leadership role this coming year.

I have been married for 41 years and am really proud of this. We have one daughter named Danielle who married Travis and they have four awesome kids who can be very entertaining at times.

I have enjoyed being with our Club and have developed many long-lasting friendships over the years. The only regret I have is that I didn’t join the Woman’s Club of Lakeside sooner than I did.

Director: Andrea Canfield

I have been an active member of the Woman’s Club of Lakeside since 2007.  Over the past 17 years I have enjoyed working on several different committees, the Art Show, Bunco, Quilt show and probably the most pertinent and rewarding was the District and Club Chairman for Domestic Violence Awareness. Being a club member has given me the opportunity to meet lots of wonderful like-minded women and create some great friendships.

I am married to my husband Dennis, and we have two wonderful sons, (Gary and Curtis) both married to fantastic women, and we have two grandchildren (Lauren and Steve) and one absolutely adorable great granddaughter, (Sophia).

Before joining the WC, I had my own business as a manufacturer’s representative dealing with large retail outlets and military buyers. I got tired of traveling so much so I went to work locally for Proctor and Gamble as a sale rep.in the Cover Girl Cosmetic Division.

Being a volunteer is extremely rewarding and I highly recommend it to everyone! To quote Margaret Mead “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”.

Director: Wilma Ward

Hi, my name is Wilma Ward and my position is a Director. I’ve been involved with the Woman’s Club of Lakeside since 2005 and a resident of Lakeside for over 30 years. I’ve been working for the Lakeside Union School District for 23 plus years as a playground coordinator and a guidance specialist. I do believe it takes a community to raise a child and I put that same thought into volunteering. Many hands made quick work of projects and goals. You will see me at our annual Bunco fundraiser as the MC and promoting the DREAM Academy projects. I like to go to concerts, fishing, kayaking and spending time outdoors. I have an amazing family that has always supported me and my endeavors with the Woman’s Club of Lakeside.

Thank you to our commited board members.
